Income requirements
Recent bank statements + foreign-employer evidence
No statutory monthly minimum publicly codified. Consular practice expects ~USD 2,000+/mo equivalent. Argentina is permissive — purpose-of-stay declaration matters most.
Tax treatment
- Becomes tax resident: After 12 consecutive months OR habitual residence
- Special regime: None DNV-specific
- Foreign income: If tax-resident: worldwide income at progressive PIT (5–35%) + Bienes Personales wealth tax 0.5–1.75%. Multiple-rate exchange controls complicate. Milei reforms (2024-2025) have rolled back wealth tax for HNW.
Argentina has historically been a high-tax / capital-controls economy, but Milei admin (since Dec 2023) has aggressively rolled back wealth tax, dismantled FX controls, and pursued tax simplification. Status remains volatile.

- Local clients allowed: No

Recent changes
- 2022-05
Argentina DNV launched via Disposition 92/2022.
- 2023-12-10
Milei administration takes office; Dec 2023 omnibus DNU (Decree 70/2023) starts FX controls and tax-system unwinding.
- 2024-2025
Argentina FX controls lifted; Bienes Personales wealth tax progressively reduced. Buenos Aires increasingly nomad-popular.
Notes
Argentina DNV is short (1 year max) but Argentina's standout feature is 2-year naturalization via judicial route — fastest path to a strong passport globally. Pair DNV → Rentista → naturalization in 2-3 years. Milei-era reforms reshape tax/FX environment in real time.
