Additional fees

Headline amounts (USD 140,000 / USD 100,000) are marketed as all-inclusive of program fees, legal, due diligence, and documentation. Additional services: name change USD 10,000–30,000; Sierra Leone tax residency certificate USD 10,000; business-partner inclusion USD 30,000. Escrow system: full refund if application refused. Separate per-applicant DD line items not published.

    Family inclusion

Eligible dependents: spouse(s), dependent parents, grandparents, children under 18, siblings under 30 with their own families. Business partners may be added for an extra USD 30,000. November 2025 reform expanded the program to include extended families and business partners.

    Tax implications

    • Worldwide income taxed:
    • Tax residency required: No

    Recent changes

    1. 2024-12

GO-FOR-GOLD Permanent Residency program launched (gold-bullion investment tier).

    2. 2025-01

Immigration Department announced fast-track citizenship routes (Fast-Track Naturalization and Heritage Naturalization) on top of the residency tier.

    3. 2026

Citizenship (Special Naturalization) Regulation, 2026 enacted as Statutory Instrument under Section 27(a) of the Sierra Leone Citizenship Act, 1973. Waives the standard residency and employment requirements; deems all program applicants to be of 'Negro-African descent' for purposes of the Act; certificate has the same legal effect as one issued under Section 8.

    4. 2025-11

Program eligibility expanded to include extended families and business partners (per IMI Daily / IFC Review coverage).

    Notes

Statutorily grounded — operates under a Statutory Instrument (Citizenship (Special Naturalization) Regulation, 2026) issued under the 1973 Citizenship Act, not bespoke CBI primary legislation. The Special Naturalization mechanism waives Section 1(a)/(b) Second Schedule residency and employment requirements. Citizenship is described as 'special naturalization' rather than full statutory CBI; certificate has equal legal effect under Section 8. Headline marketing figures (USD 117,700–159,500) bundle program operator fees with the government component. Passport (~64 visa-free) covers all 15 ECOWAS states but offers no Schengen, UK, or US access. Primary use case is African mobility, ECOWAS settlement rights, and ancestry-based identity. Program operator TG 2050 LTD is Hong Kong-based, not Sierra Leonean — diligence on operator concentration risk is warranted.
