# Archives and sources: Luxembourg (LU)

Where records created in Luxembourg are held, whether they can be found online, and the archives and providers EasyPassport has vetted for them. Yes. Records are name-searchable online or digitized, so a careful search is worth it.

The cleanest country in the set: one archive, one host. All Luxembourg civil registers 1795–1923 are free at archives.services-publics.lu. Records containing personal data go online only after 100 years.
